Molly the Snowman Girl

IMG_2249

Molly is very impatiently waiting for it to snow so she can make a snowman. This finished doll stands about 10.5 inches tall and makes a cute winter decoration, or a toy for little hands to play with.

If you want a pattern that you can save on your computer and easily print, this pattern is available in my Ravelry shop for only $2.00. I love printing patterns and saving them in a binder to keep track of the ones I’ve done and the ones I still plan to do.

Pull hat onto head and get it where you want it. Attach 2 medium buttons to hat for the snowman’s eyes and sew the nose on. Figure out the placement of her eyes, but don’t put the backs on yet. Sew hat onto head, then attach hair underneath hat so that it falls over the loops.

There are many different ways you can do hair on dolls, which I go into detail more about in my Amigurami Tips and Tricks post.  I used dark grey heather for her hair, then pull it into 2 ponytails, but you can use any color and any style you’d like. Once you have the hat and hair on, sew on eyelashes if you’d like and attach the backs to the safety eyes. You can add blush to her cheeks to give her a rosy glow.
